SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program
The SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG Fox SPGP) is designed to provide essential resources, outreach, and suicide prevention services to service members, veterans, and their families. In honor of Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox, this initiative is committed to ensuring our heroes receive the care and support they deserve.
A comprehensive range of services include:
- Individualized, supportive, and compassionate case-management
- Support with basic needs
- Transportation, shelter and childcare assistance
- Mental health and substance treatment options
- Assistance navigating healthcare options
- Housing placement services
- Financial literacy education
- Referral for legal assistance
- Peer specialist support
- Resource Navigation
Eligibility Requirements
- Veteran or Active Duty Military Status
- Minimum low-risk score when screened for suicide

Reflecting on the Life and Legacy of Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox
Our SSG Fox program honors Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox, who joined the Army in 2014 and was a sniper instructor at the U.S. Army Infantry School at Ft. Benning, GA. Staff Sergeant Fox died by suicide on July 21, 2020, and was known for a life of generosity and kindness to others in need. Staff Sergeant Fox is described by his loved ones as always helping others, being a “jokester” and having a beautiful soul.
