March is Social Work Month
March is National Social Work Month, we recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of our community’s social workers. They play a crucial role in helping individuals overcome challenges and reach their goals. Social workers can be found in various settings, from hospitals and mental health centers to government agencies, community centers and social service agencies like Catholic Charities Hawaii.
One outstanding social worker who deserves special recognition is our own Vice President of Programs Stella Wong. With over 28 years of experience, she has made a significant impact on the lives of the underserved and vulnerable in our community. At Catholic Charities Hawaii, Stella oversees a multitude of programs that benefit over 100,000 individuals throughout the state, spanning across different age groups.
With her humble and down-to-earth personality, she embodies the qualities of a servant leader, serving as a role model and mentor to others in the field. We are grateful for Stella’s tireless efforts and the positive influence she has had on so many lives in our community. We thank her for her unwavering commitment and dedication.
