Catholic Charities Hawai‘i Clients Need to Make Appointments in Advance of Office Visitations
HONOLULU (March 19, 2020) – Due to health and safety precautions because of the evolving COVID-19 situation, all clients of Catholic Charities Hawai‘i (CCH) will be required to schedule an appointment via email or phone in advance of meeting with CCH staff.
The new visitor policy is effective today. CCH will not have walk-in clients at any of its offices statewide for the time being.
“The health and safety of our community and the CCH ‘ohana of clients, staff and volunteers is our top priority,” said President and CEO Robert Van Tassell. “We are closely monitoring the situation and are following local and federal health guidelines Throughout our locations we are practicing preventive measures to maintain a safe and healthy environment.”
“We are making every effort to adapt and develop strategies to best carry out our services as changes occur,” Van Tassell added. “Our staff is working statewide to ensure all clients impacted by program adjustments or closures continue to have the support they need.”
Listed below are changes to CCH programs and services because of the ongoing COVID-19 situation:
The Lanakila Multi-Purpose Senior Center in Kalihi is closed until further notice.
AARP’s free tax preparation services for all three CCH locations (Ching Campus in Makiki, Lanakila Multi-Purpose Center in Kalihi and Kona office) have been suspended until further notice by AARP.
The Healthy Brain Aging and Dementia workshops for caregivers have been canceled.
