Mā‘ili Land Transitional Housing Program
Mā‘ili Land Transitional Housing Program is managed and operated by Catholic Charities Hawai‘i. It is a 44-unit facility located in Leeward O‘ahu.
This facility has been a safe haven for hundreds of families with children who have found themselves homeless in Hawai‘i. The goal of the program is to help empower the participants to rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient. The key components of the program are:
- A maximum of 24-month participation
- Case management services
- Budget counseling
- Housing counseling
- Life skills classes
- Computer classes
- Parenting classes
- Preparation for GED
- Adult education and family literacy
- Drivers license preparation
- Employment preparation
- Homework assistance for children
- On-site store for basic needs
