Children & Youth

Today’s children and youth need to feel protected and empowered. Catholic Charities Hawai‘i offers a number of programs that help children and youth address physical, emotional, and psychological needs through services that focus on building confidence and core values while strengthening families.

  • Foster or Relative Placement Services (STATEWIDE)
We provide home study and case management services for children statewide who are being reunified with biological parents or who are being considered for foster or relative placement. We also monitor and ensure safe and stable placement of children in foster or relative care across state lines. (see government referral services)
  • Counseling (O‘AHU and HAWAI‘I)
Our general counseling program provides individual and family counseling.
  • Horizons (O‘AHU)
This independent living program and outreach service is available to young adults ages 18 to 25 who are transitioning out of mental health, child welfare, or juvenile justice systems. For information about the Horizons Program, call Ryan Toma at (808) 218-0417.
