Family Resource Specialist #17-47

FATS-Early Identification Program- Full-time, Oahu

The Family Resource Specialist (FRS) position screens families of prenatal and newborn infants, with the goal of identifying risk factors for child abuse and neglect. This is accomplished in hospital and community settings, interviewing families and utilizing screening tools approved by the Hawaii State Department of Health.  The FRS writes a summary report of findings and presents this to the Program Coordinator or other designated supervisor for review. The FRS must demonstrate an active commitment to Catholic Charities Hawaii Mission and strive to incorporate the four Core Values in all aspects of daily work. 

Job Requirements: A high school diploma or GED and one (1) year customer service experience with demonstrated personal disposition necessary to engage clients in screening process. 

Applicable background checks: HI State criminal check, CAN clearance, TB Clearance, MMR/Hepatitis B/Flu Shot vaccinations and others as required, Driver’s License, No-Fault Insurance Cards and access to an insured vehicle.
